CYENCE Roadshow
Science on the road
The CYENCE Roadshow is a unique part of the whole event. It brings the international science competition straight to Czech students and gives them the chance to meet talented young researchers of their own generation, learn about their work and find out how they can get involved in science themselves.
The Roadshow builds on the proven format of the student organisation Zvaž vědu!, which gives young scientists space to present their own research and inspire their peers to pursue science. This concept now goes international: instead of Czech speakers, young scientists from all over the world come to share their research, experience and passion for science with Czech high school students.
The format
How does the CYENCE Roadshow work?
Science comes to students
International CYENCE participants travel to multiple cities across the Czech Republic to bring the world of science abroad closer to Czech high school students.
Young scientists on stage
Each speaker gets 30 minutes for an engaging popular science talk about their own research, its results and the journey that led them to it.
A varied programme
Each student chooses five of ten talks from a range of fields and puts together their own programme across different areas of science.
International experience within reach
The whole programme is in English – a unique chance to meet talented peers from all over the world in your own city, learn from their experience and get a glimpse of international science.

Early morning
Participants leave Brno for their host city.
9:00–15:00
Conferences in the Zvaž vědu! format: international participants present their research to Czech high school students, with livestreams to schools.
15:00–17:00
A guided tour of the host city.
Evening
Return to Brno.
